What are the minimum lengths of stay for the upcoming season?

The minimum lengths of stay for season rentals in 2025 are:

• May 2 - May 22: minimum stay of 2-nights
• May 23 - Jun. 26: minimum stay of 2-nights*
• Jun. 27 - Aug. 22 (Cottages): 7 night stays, Saturday - Saturday or Sunday - Sunday
• Jun. 27 - Aug. 22 (Quads): minimum stay of 3-nights
• Aug. 23 - Aug. 31: minimum stay of 3-nights
• Sep. 1 - Sep. 14: minimum stay of 2-nights
  *3-night minimum for Memorial Day weekend bookings.

What are the contract requirements (deposit, final payment)?

To reserve your sweet summer vacation, a 50% deposit is due upon booking and the final payment is due 30 days before check-in date – then it’s nothing but sun, smiles and water for miles.

What is check-in and checkout day/time?

Depending on your vacation rental, check-in and checkout will either be Saturday or Sunday.

Can you earn and redeem TS Rewards Points at The Cove/Sylvan Beach Supply Co.?

Yes! You can earn and use TS Rewards Points on your cottage and any retail purchases at Sylvan Beach Supply Co. Please contact us for more information regarding your TS Rewards benefits.

Is there a pool at The Cove? What are the pool hours?

Do the kids need to burn some energy before dinner? Walk over to the private playground for guest use only. The pool is open from 10am to 7pm daily.

Can golf, dinner or spa charges from other Oneida Nation Enterprises properties be charged back to your cottage?

Yes! Experience our other attractions located nearby The Cove and charge those experiences to your cottage. It’s a simple as that!

Do you allow fireworks on the property?

No, for safety reasons, we do not allow fireworks.

Is transportation provided from The Cove to Turning Stone Resort Casino or other Oneida Nation Enterprises properties?

Taxis and Uber are readily available to do the driving for you. But if you choose to drive, Turning Stone is only a short distance away.

Where can I get groceries?

Stay fueled at our favorite local shops. There are Tops Friendly Markets located approximately 15 minutes away in Camden and Canastota. Two market-style convenience stores – Maple Leaf Market and SavOn are located right in town. For pre-delivered groceries before your arrival date visit Off The Muck Market online.

Is The Cove pet friendly? Is there an additional fee? What are the weight restrictions?

Our furry four-legged friends need a vacation too! Dogs weighing 50lbs or less are more than welcome to enjoy the lakeside cottages, but there’s a max of two dogs per cottage. A cleaning fee of $100 plus tax non-refundable fee for the first dog and $50 plus tax non-refundable for the second dog is required. Please remember to pick up after your pets so we can keep our stunning facilities clean for all our guests.

Unique Amenities:
Welcome to your dream escape. Each air-conditioned cottage boasts two full-baths with a full-size washer and dryer. The kitchen features a full-size refrigerator, range, dishwasher and microwave. There are flat screen televisions in the living room and master bedroom for late night family movie time or rainy-day fun. Every master bedroom has a king size bed and a safe in the closet. Two-bedroom cottages have two full-size XL beds in the second bedroom and three-bedroom cottages have full-size XL bunk beds in the third bedroom. Step outside and enjoy your private gas grill or fire pit with six outdoor chairs, propane tank included. And the best part – a private pontoon boat and dock slip are included for your entire stay.

What is the size of each cottage?

The two-bedroom cottages are 1,000 sq. ft. and the three-bedroom cottages are 1,200 sq. ft.– perfect for family activities, fun and more.

What is the maximum number of guests allowed in each cottage?

To keep our cottages safe and fun for all our vacationers, six guests can stay in the two-bedroom cottages and eight guests can stay in the three-bedroom cottages. Guests who are not listed under the registration cannot stay overnight.

Is Wi-Fi available at The Cove?

For all your lakeside, poolside and inside social media posting, online video gaming and BFF texting, complimentary Wi-Fi is available inside and outside the cottage and at the pool.

Is there cable television provided in the cottages?

Yes, cable is provided on all televisions in the cottages so you can tune in to your favorite shows, plan a family movie night or catch the weather for your afternoon boat ride.

Does each cottage have air-conditioning?

Yes, each cottage has air-conditioning, so you can beat the heat as needed.

Is there a telephone in each cottage?

While there are no telephones provided in the cottages, there is mobile phone service in the area so you can stay connected. Also, for your convenience, access to each cottage is via your personal mobile phone. There are no traditional room key cards. But remember, this is your vacation, we encourage all our guests to enjoy the amenities of The Cove, unplug and unwind.

Are the cottages smoke-free? Is smoking permitted anywhere on property?

For the maximum cleanliness and safety of our rentals, all cottages are smoke-free as is the pool and playground area. Smoking is permitted outside, 15-feet from the cottages.

Is there an age restriction to renting a cottage?

Although we welcome vacation seekers of all ages, guest must be 25 years or older to rent a cottage.

What items are included in the kitchen?

We want our cottages to feel like your home away from home. In each kitchen you’ll find place settings (plates, bowls, flatware, glasses); Keurig coffee maker, toaster, can opener, dishtowels, pot holders, serving bowls, pots, pans, storage containers, serving utensils, knife cutlery set, measuring cups, measuring spoons, corkscrew, beverage pitcher, cookie sheet, baking dish, trash can and recycle bin. However, please remember to bring dish soap, hand soap, paper towels and garbage bags. You can refer to the Cove Packing List here.

What linens are included?

No beach towels? No worries! Bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, bath mats, beach towels and bed linens are all included.

Is there a makeup mirror?

Going out on the town? We have you covered. A makeup mirror is provided in each bathroom.

Is wood included for each fire pit?

Ready for some s’mores? The first bundle of firewood is on us! Additional bundles may be purchased at Sylvan Beach Supply Co. No firewood is permitted to be brought on site from other areas.

Are housekeeping services included?

Less knocking, more time for fun! Daily housekeeping service is not included. Your cottages will be cleaned and refreshed upon your departure for our next guest’s enjoyment.

WATER SPORT RENTALS AND BOATING INFORMATION

What type of boat is included with each cottage and what is it equipped with?

The best part of this lakeside vacation – your private pontoon for the whole length of your stay. Your boat rental is a 2022 20’ Tahoe Pontoon boat with a 100-horsepower motor including all required safety gear (life vests, fire extinguisher, hand held flares, distress flag, distress whistle, anchor line and shackle, dock line, fenders and fender clips) – boatloads of fun here we come.

What are the requirements for driving and renting a boat from Sylvan Beach Supply Co. at The Cove?

Bring your furry four-legged friends and all your human friends, but guests have to be 25 years of age or older with a boater safety permit to rent and operate a boat.
The powered boat operator is required to complete a boater safety course and provide proof before arrival. Choose between a free BoatUS course or a paid iLearnToBoat course for expedited processing.
All other items such as kayaks, bikes, paddleboards and canoes can be rented by 18 years of age or older.

Does the guest need a certification proving they have completed the New York State boater safety course?

We want all our guests to have the maximum amount of fun, but we want you to be safe too. Every driver must complete a New York State boater safety course and provide proof to The Cove Management. Drivers must complete the online training prior to arrival at BoatUS Foundation..

Do you have onsite, on-the-water boat training available?

Unfortunately, we do not, but it is available online through New York State at BoatUS Foundation.

Are boater safety courses completed in other states valid?

Yes! New York State does recognize the boating safety certificate issued by the guest’s home state.

What happens if I damage a rental boat?

Problems happen, but guests are responsible for all costs to repair the boat if damage is incurred while they are using it.

Where can I take the boat?

We’re glad you asked! There are several waves for you to ride around here. We’re located right on Oneida Lake, the largest lake entirely within New York State! If that’s not enough, head upstream into Fish Creek for great fishing, kayaking or cruising during daylight hours.

Is there a security deposit for the boat and is it refundable?

For just a small fee, the boat is all yours! Security deposit is required for all boat rentals as given below and if returned undamaged the deposit will be returned to the guest.
$250 - Pontoon Boats, Ski Boats, Deck Boats and Fishing Boats
$100 - Kayaks, Canoes, Paddle Boards, Water Bikes and Bicycles

Does The Cove sell fuel?

Head over to our sister site and fuel-up! The Cove does not sell fuel onsite, but Snug Harbour, located across the canal does sell fuel.

Can a guest bring their own boat to use during their stay?

We like the way you think! Yes, you can bring your own boat up to 22 ft.and launch (at no charge) from Snug Harbour. You can park the boat at The Cove in the designated slip for your cottage. The boat trailer can be parked for the duration of your stay at Snug Harbour at no charge.

Can I bring my own jet ski, canoe, kayak or other water sport equipment?

Why not? Guests can bring all of their own recreational equipment.

If I bring my own boat to use during my stay, is the rate discounted?

Not interested in the boat? No problem, but the boat is included in the rate so there will be no reduction in the price of the cottage.

What is available at Sylvan Beach Supply Co.?

All your day-on-the-water essentials and then some can be found here! Sylvan Beach Supply Co. is a convenience store featuring grocery items (candy, beer, soda, grab-and-go meals), household cleaning items (dish soap, laundry detergent,) ice, bait for fishing, wood for the fire pits, souvenirs, ATM and a cafe serving delicious food, bakery items, coffee and ice cream. What recreation items does Sylvan Beach Supply Co. rent?

Adventure enthusiasts and new comers alike are all welcome. Guests can rent ski boats, fishing boats, pontoon boats, canoes, kayaks, stand up paddle boards, bikes (water and land), skis, tubes and fishing equipment – let the fun begin!

Are dogs allowed on the boats?

Yes, bring your furry four-legged friends aboard.

Is smoking allowed on the boats?

Yes, smoking is allowed on the boats.

What are the hours you can rent a boat?

Oh, how we love those long, sweet summer days! Rentals are available from 7am to dusk daily.

Can you charge purchases from Sylvan Beach Supply Co. back to your cottage?

Yes, easy and convenient! You are able to charge rentals or purchases to your cottage.
