Tree-Mendous Fun

While you might spend many of your days at The Cove on the lake, visiting museums, or stopping by a summertime event, there’s also plenty to do onsite for every member of the family, like our Tree-Mendous Playground. This is no ordinary playground with a few swings and a slide – it’s a completely unique creation designed to keep kids active and entertained. Eight custom elements encourage creative, active play that supports important motor skills development and offers activities for every age group.

The playground is also the perfect place to make new friends while kids enjoy beautiful days outdoors. There’s a buoy zip line for high-speed excitement, while a log pyramid and monkey climb let children test their skills as they race to the top. Elements like stepping stumps and a zig-zag balance beam make the playground a challenging obstacle course, and the shelter climb will inspire hours of imaginative fun. The only limit to how little ones can enjoy the shelter climb or swing set is their own imagination!

Designed with Families in Mind

The Cove’s playground is lined with rustic log benches, where parents can take a break and watch kids play in comfort. There are two stroller parking areas for parents’ convenience, and the entire area is covered in playground mulch. Unlike traditional decorative mulch, this ground cover is produced with ground natural wood to prevent splinters and soften any tumbles. It’s also cleaner than other mulch to prevent soiled clothing, so you can head straight to dinner from an afternoon of play.

Every playground element crafted by Tree-Mendous is made with the highest-quality materials available for safety and stability. The company also shares a commitment to environmental sustainability with The Cove and our parent company, Oneida Nation Enterprises. All elements are built without plastics, using natural, sustainable wood products locally sourced in Upstate New York.
